Who We Support
As a church we believe that giving doesn’t stop at the campus, so we give 10% of our money to support church plants and missionaries through The Acts 29 Network and Vision Nationals. We created this page as a place to see who we support as the Downtown Seattle Campus, and to serve as a connecting point to updates from their ministries. Organizations that MHC – Downtown Campus supports:
Acts 29 Network exists to start churches that plant churches that are missionaries in their respective communities sent by Christ with the gospel (John 20:21). It is the desire of Acts 29 to plant 1,000 new churches in the next 20 years. (from “About”)
Resurgence is a movement that resources multiple generations to live for Jesus so that they can effectively reach their cities with the gospel by staying culturally accessible and Biblically faithful. TheResurgence.com is an outgrowth of the teaching ministry of Mars Hill Church. The intent of this ministry is to provide a large repository of free missional theology resources in hopes of serving the cause of the gospel of Jesus Christ in culture.
(from “About the Resurgence”)
Vision Nationals began when Jesus Christ called a young man from a Hindu family to follow Him. From the beginning, Arjuna Chilguluri knew that God had chosen him to carry the gospel of Jesus Christ throughout Asia. (from “History”) The people at Vision Nationals are passionate about equipping nationals to plant churches to reach nationals for Jesus Christ. To this end, they provide multiple educational opportunities and training programs for pastors and future church planters as well as care for the orphans and widows in their midst. (from “About Us”) Vision Nationals has a promo video here that you can view for more information.
