October Town Hall Events
While the media often feeds intellectual barriers to the Gospel by portraying faith and science as warring opposites, an examination of modern scientific literature actually reveals more evidence supporting the Bible than ever before in history. Mars Hill Church’s Downtown Seattle Campus is therefore excited to host a two-part Town Hall series this Fall entitled:“Creation, Design, DNA, and the Universe: Clearly Perceiving God’s Eternal Power and Divine Nature with Science”
We have invited two distinguished speakers (Astrophysicist Hugh Ross and a Philosopher of Science Steven Meyer) who love Jesus and approach this subject from different angles to come talk about recent books they have written.DATES & SPEAKERS:
- Wednesday, October 21, 7:00PM: Dr. Hugh Ross, Why the Universe is the Way It Is
- Wednesday, October 28, 7:00PM: Dr. Steven Meyer, Signature in the Cell: DNA and the Evidence for Intelligent Design
LOCATION:
Mars Hill Church Downtown Seattle Campus – 2333 Western Ave, Seattle, WA 98121This is an excellent opportunity to invite your friends, neighbors, and co-workers to hear about how modern science complements, not disproves, the Gospel.

Fall Coat Drive
Downtown’s second annual Christmas Coat Lunch is right around the corner. On 12/12 we will be inviting the homeless community of Belltown into our building to feed them a lunch and give them a coat, a hat, and some socks. In an effort to tangibly meet the needs of the city in this way we are starting our Fall Coat Drive which will be taking place through 11/29. Please drop any coats or socks off at the donation box in the lobby.
Neighborhood Events
Whether you are new or seasoned Mars Hill attendee, plan to regularly stop in and say hello
The Community Groups of Mars Hill Church Downtown cordially invite you to regularly attend a weekly Neighborhood Happy Hour near you!
Click here for more information, meeting times, locations, and directions.
Neighborhood Happy Hours are:
- …now the primary location of plugging into Community at Mars Hill Church Downtown Seattle, second only to the Wednesday Gateway event when it’s running.
- …a great opportunity for you to actually invite your friends and neighbors
- …the place to meet and catch up with Community Group leaders and folks who live in your neighborhood.
- …the way to grow your community groups a bit more organically. You should practice making connections with new people and invite them to your group and/or group events.
- …the place to bring others from your Community Group (if you attend one) so they can actually meet (perhaps for the first time) those who you are on mission with for Jesus in your neighborhood!
