One Sweet Night

Our 1st anniversary as a downtown campus is almost upon us. It’s been incredible and has absolutely flown by. We’ll be celebrating one very sweet year with “One Sweet Night”. This hot party features the campus transformed into a chic, ambient lounge with a little bit of something for everyone!

• Amazing desserts from Downtown purveyors Dahlia Bakery, The Confectional and Macrina
• Downstairs lounge transformed into our very own Cheese Cave and Jazz cellar featuring Beecher’s cheese and local musicians
• Live DJ and dancing in our transformed dance club space!
• Retrospective Art Show

Date: Friday, March 13th, 7pm – 11pm

Who: Downtown campus members and regular attendees are all invited to be there! This event is an outreach and will be promoted widely to our neighbors. Please invite those in your own communities. We see it as a great chance to reach out to those who wouldn’t otherwise visit our church.

Cost: $15 donation requested for members and regular attendees to cover the costs of the celebration. Kids get in FREE. Guests will not be charged.

Suncadia All Campus Advance

May 15th-17th we are going to “Suncadia” for an All Campus Advance. This is one of the premiere places to stay in Washington and we are getting a screaming 2-night deal. The purpose of this is to pull everyone together as a family, have fun, learn, grow closer to Jesus and closer to each other, and grow in our sense of mission and vision as disciples of Jesus in Downtown Seattle. • …now the primary location of plugging into Community at Mars Hill Church Downtown Seattle, second only to the Wednesday Gateway event when it’s running.
• …a great opportunity for you to actually invite your friends and neighbors
• …the place to meet and catch up with Community Group leaders and folks who live in your neighborhood.
• …the way to grow your community groups a bit more organically. You should practice making connections with new people and invite them to your group and/or group events.
• …the place to bring others from your Community Group (if you attend one) so they can actually meet (perhaps for the first time) those who you are on mission with for Jesus in your neighborhood!

The Well

If you missed the first one don’t worry we have another great event coming up for you. The Well is a series of events aimed to connect, encourage, and mentor women in the downtown business world. This will be at 5:30PM at the Downtown Campus. This time we will be discussing contentment! The Well meets every 2nd Monday of the month.

Prayer Requests this Week

• Pray that our church would be submissive to authority as 1 Peter teaches that Jesus may be glorified
• Pray that we would resist temptation, worship Jesus, and follow in his example of holiness
• Pray that as we continue to grow in numbers that we continue to grow in discipleship
• Pray that new people continue to come and get connected to relationships and Jesus
• Pray for protection against false teaching and the schemes of the enemy to thwart what God is doing in Seattle
• Pray that Jesus would continue to open doors in Downtown Seattle for the gospel to move forward
• Pray for many in our church community that are experiencing lay-offs and other financial strains
