We all put our hope in something. We all cling to something to save us. Not all of us articulate in that language but ultimately we build our identity and motivation around something. It could be our spouse, a career, an experience, a cause, moral performance, comfort, money, etc. God has given us many good things but if we turn these into ultimate things we are left disappointed, unfulfilled, and enslaved.

The Bible teaches that Jesus is our only true hope and that we must have our hearts set on him for steadfast joy and salvation.  We all must trust in and hope in something. It is how we are built. The important thing we must decide is if we will put it in the things on this earth or if we will put in Jesus Christ.

Pastor Tim went around downtown Seattle and interviewed several people in the following video. With uncertain times and many problems in the world these Seattleites share their sources of hope.
