The Final (Fall) Countdown by Pastor Tim

The Fall season brings…warmer weather?  What a great week we’ve had here in Seattle. Fall also brings football, the season premiere of The Office (what will happen with Jim and Pam?) and pumpkin spice lattes.  Most importantly, of course, it brings Mars Hill Downtown’s first fall launch.  Starting this Sunday, September 21 we are going to three services…9AM – 11:15AM – 6PM.  We will also be “cutting the ribbon” on our new “Lounge” downstairs, complete with a bookstore, Top Pot Doughnuts and the spinning beats of DJ Palma.

Pastor Mark will also be beginning The Peasant Princess.  A study of sex, dating, relationships and marriage through the Song of Songs.

I’m completely excited and humbled to be part of this mission in downtown Seattle with you all.  It has been so amazing to see how God continues to bring his people together in community, worship, and mission.  We were created to be in community with one another and, as Pastor Mark preached this past Sunday, on mission together in the city.  It will never be easy or without a mess, but God in his grace, sustains us and uses the hurts and trials we go through to make us more like Him and bring us closer together.  Please pray that Jesus would continue to do this at our campus as we’ve just begun to scratch the surface of all that God intends here.
