Downtown Campus Updates for the week of May 12th

Annual Men’s Advance: Jesus | Author and Perfecter: At Mars Hill, we don’t Retreat, we Advance! Advance the Gospel, Advance the Mission of Jesus, the Author and Perfecter of our faith (Heb 12:1-3) . This year, the advance will once again occur at Warm Beach Camp on May 16th - 18th. Pastors Mark Driscoll, Bill Clem, Tim Smith, Scott Thomas and the campus pastors will be preaching and teaching. Spots are limited so check out this link to register (or for more information). (Space is limited and this will be the final all-campus Advance, so register today!)

Baptisms at both Downtown services on Sunday, May 25th
Baptism is an important Christian sacrament as we publicly proclaim our faith in Jesus and identify ourselves with His death, burial, and resurrection. They are also one of the most encouraging moments for the church as we get to see and witness what Jesus has done in our life. If you have not been baptized, this is the time…at the first downtown baptism…to obey God’s command and get baptized. Email us at: downtown@marshillchurch.org

The Call to Mission: Whether you are a long time member, new visitor or considering membership you need to get up to speed on the Mission of Mars Hill. The Call to Mission web page is a useful if not mandatory read for anyone wanting to understand the specifics of our mission to bring the Gospel to Seattle and beyond.

For those planning to become members at the end of the current Doctrine Sermon Series be watching for upcoming info about how to begin the Mars Hill membership process. For those who are currently members please use The City to renew your membership.

Member meeting recap on The City: If you missed the all member meeting last month, or would like to review the details of the meeting please visit the Downtown campus group on The City. Of particular interest and importance is documentation about the Downtown Campus financial plans; This is crucial information to know where we are at as a campus and that we are aiming to be self-sustaining as a campus within 1-2 years but we have a ways to go to get there.

Serving needs and opportunities at the Downtown Campus:

  • The Greeting Squad and the Security Team need help on Sundays. If the words greeting or security speak to your skillset, talents and/or desire to serve please email downtown@marshillchurch.org for more info.
  • Weekly web site publishing help needed: If you would like to help with the Downtown blog please email cyberjason2004@gmail.com
  • Thursday Morning Prayer continues every Thursday at the Downtown Campus from 7-8am. Show up, pray for the Downtown campus, pray for the upcoming Sunday Sermon, pray for our city and pray for many more to meet Jesus.
