Downtown updates for January 14th - 20th

Here is the lowdown on the Downtown for those running with us for the crown:

Construction:
The build out is moving forward as per timeline and God is pouring out his grace. For this week of 1.14 we will have work parties Mon-Thurs from 6pm-10pm and Sat 10am-6pm (lunch will be provided on Sat). Please RSVP with Eric Eberlein @ eric@marshillchurch.org. Also please note that the only free parking is off street after 6pm, everywhere else you must pay including the parking lot adjacent to the church.

Are you down for Downtown?
There are many things you could do with your time. Let me ask for but three short minutes that will make a significant difference and be a wise use of those ever fleeting 24 hours. If you are planning on attending and being part of the Downtown Campus we need you to fill out the form found at this link:

http://marshillevents.wufoo.com/forms/mars-hill-church-downtown-campus-core.

I know many of you have already filled out similar forms but it would be helpful to us if you could take the time to complete this form. We are architecting a system to streamline the way we track and use the information for those who want to attend and be part of the downtown campus. We need to have everyone fill this out that wants to be included among that number. If you are just subscribed to the blog because you want to keep up to date on our happenings down here, or just want to be informed of when you can snag free food at our next potluck that’s cool don’t worry about filling out the form. But for everyone that is going to call Mars Hill Downtown home, please fill this out. If you are a member also make sure to change your status on the member’s site to signify “Downtown” as your campus.

We Must Pray: Thursday mornings- Come to Kneel

“This is what the LORD Almighty says: “Many peoples and the inhabitants of many cities will yet come, and the inhabitants of one city will go to another and say, “Let us go at once to entreat the LORD and seek the LORD Almighty. I myself am going.’ And many peoples and powerful nations will come to Jerusalem to seek the LORD Almighty and to entreat him’(Zech. 8:20-22).

Zechariah is speaking of how the advancement of the Church will occur. It would happen only as people gathered together in extraordinary prayer, seeking the Lord and asking him to manifest himself in a real and powerful way.

As time draws closer to the beginning of the new Downtown campus much building renovation still is left to be done but most importantly, renovation of the heart and a unity of the people through prayer is essential. Every Thursday from 7am-8am @ the Downtown Campus, we are asking God’s people to gather in extraordinary prayer. We will beseech God to help his Church, show mercy to mankind, pour out his spirit in our city, and advance his kingdom. *Please note that he only free parking is off street before 9am. Everywhere else you must pay including the parking lot adjacent to the church.
